Weahkee family
Robert Michael & Marcel Chase Weahkee are the sons of Anderson Weahkee who is now deceased. Anderson & Lena Boone; their aunt taught Robert & Chase to carve. Robert in his mid twenties carves mostly in antler and creates animals that win awards for being innovative yet traditional. He has perfected the serpent Kolowisi, owls in all kinds of poses, horses, oar fish as well as alter dolls, bear & bison family's & notably the Brothers of the Sky; the Knifewing with Rainbow Man. Chase, we think has just turned thirty and carves wonderful art glass big bears, howling wolves & frogs. He also carves wonderful orange alabaster, selenite & Petoseky animals.
