Picasso Marble Horned Toad by Tracey Zunie

$ 88.00

A very unique colored Picasso marble horned toad carved by Tracey Zunie looking slightly to the left side with turquoise inlaid eyes. There is a prominent black and gray background with some muted cream and brown streaks. Of note; are the black veins - they stand out all over the lizard's body. Tracey carved simply 5 spikes on the crown of the back of the lizard's head then she inlaid eight turquoise dots on the back. The horned toad is a powerful medicine animal and a symbol of longevity - because they thrive in the harsh, dry, desert environments of the Southwest, These horned lizards serve as a reminder to be independent and resourceful and are symbolic as great protectors of earth's natural resources. In Zuni tradition, the horned toad is believed to bring good fortune and luck to its owner.
