There are incised lines on the mane and tail with the whole carving nicely polished. Hubert was one of the last Zuni artists known to carve solely with hand tools. Dendrites are natural tree-like or moss-like shapes that form when an element or mineral migrates and branches outward from a point of origin. The horse represents the power of the animal world literally \"harnessed\" for the benefit of the human race. Horse medicine calls the self to expand one's own potential abilities, tethering control of the environment, inter-species communication and offers us a good example of cooperation.
