Spiny Oyster Maiden Double by Sandra Quandelacy
A spiny oyster alizarin crimson and cobalt red corn maiden with a lovely maiden incised on the prominent white side - carved by Sandra Quandelacy - both maidens have jet features. Sandra has incised the corn rows then inlaid them with some dots that represent kernels - utilizing bits of turquoise, jet and alunite. There are two dragonflies incised on the shawl on the prominent white side. Maidens symbolize the divine gift of the harvest, fertility, and life-giving abundance.
