Mexican Opal Rabbit by Loren Tsalabutie

$ 800.00

A white, purple, gray and brown colored Mexican opal rabbit carved by Loren Tsalabutie standing upright in an anthropomorphic pose looking to its left side and upwards with pin point turquoise inlaid eyes. Loren has carved the rabbit so that it stands balanced on its right foot with all the legs and feet carved in the round. The rabbit's floppy long ears and the striking colors and veins in the rock all provide visual landing points for the viewer. The Zuni believe the rabbit represents virtue, serenity, quiet talent and restraint. These happy critters are a reminder that life is full of possibility. Mexican opal's metaphysical qualities center on passion, creativity, joy, and transformation - acting as a "bird of paradise stone" (Aztec name) to ignite inner fire, boost confidence, attract good fortune, and foster emotional balance.
