A small muted periwinkle and white spotted angelite medicine bear carved by the now deceased Emery Eriacho with turquoise inlaid eyes. The offering bundle features a small pink rhodochrosite arrow head topped with a coral and green turquoise bead. The Zuni believe the Creator made the bear to be a guardian for mankind. The medicine bear shape is thought to resemble a cave opening - depicting a bear coming out of hibernation and the pose is the bear sniffing the ground for healing herbs.
