Antler Bobcat by Troy Sice

$ 350.00

A prominent cream and gray tinged antler bobcat carved in an anthropomorphic style - standing upright on its hind legs holding a turquoise inlaid heart in its front paws. Carved by Troy Sice, the bobcat has burnished ears and ruff edges with pin point dark blue green Fox turquoise inlaid eyes and a pen shell inlaid snout. The Fox Turquoise Mine is located in Lander County, Nevada, near Crescent Valley. Fox turquoise was once Nevada's largest turquoise producer and was known to Native Americans in the area for centuries. The bobcat is the prey God of the south - honored by the Zuni for being elusive, intelligent and a solitary and independent hunter.
