There are a variety of different turquoise stones used - Debra told us that the turquoise came from the now deceased Jeff Tsalabutie - who was in a regalia dance group with her husband; Ray Tsethlikai - back in the 80's. Debra used pen shell heishi between the smaller fetishes with one turquoise heshie bead placed right above each of the twenty fetishes. The animals depicted are not the same from side to side. So there are five frogs, four bears, three eagles and one ram, turtle, badger, wolf, tadpole and finally one mole. All have sterling silver inlaid eyes. There are also sterling silver beads right above the bear pendant. Debra has added her name plate near the hook clasp.
