A short, stout pink, orange and mauve veined dolomite horse with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Michael Mahooty with a side offering bundle featuring a penn shell arrowhead, melon shell and turquoise beads. A horse to tribesmen used to signify mobility, stamina, strength and power. Horses were so revered by some tribes that the horse also came to represent loyalty, love and devotion. The Zuni also believe that the horse has healing powers.
