A new carving for Robert Michael Weahkee - an antler Dungeness crab with turquoise inlaid eyes. Robert created the crab from a small antler burr then burnished the crab's two claws in front. There is also a burnished edge around head of the crab. For many Pacific Northwest Indigenous peoples, Dungeness crabs are not just a food source but also a symbol of abundance, sustenance, and spiritual connection to the sea.
