Dark Mother-of-Pearl Maiden Figure by Sandra Quandelacy

There is a corn maiden on one side with a mother on the opposite side - both have jet inlaid features and share a tablita style headdress with two dragonflies inlaid on one side of it and on the opposite side are two star bursts inlaid to the sides of a butterfly - we believe. Only the face of the mother is carved in the dark iridescent part of the shell. The corn maiden has nicely incised corn rows with a prominent cream colored serpentine corn cob inlaid near the base with a jet and coral dot inlaid within the incised corn rows. This is a beautiful carving!
