A plump Number Eight Mine turquoise quarried mountain lion carved by the now deceased Andres Quandelacy - who died sadly in 2024. The lion has coral inlaid eyes and heart line and a tail carved in the traditional Zuni style wrapping over the back. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will.
