A lovely turquoise maiden figure with a prominent brown matrix carved by Sandra Quandelacy depicting a corn maiden on one side and a mother on the opposite side with two smaller corn maidens carved to the left of each of the larger maidens - all with jet inlaid features. Sandra has incised then inlaid jet to two corn maidens and four star bursts. Maidens symbolize abundance, fertility and feminine energy and corn maidens are revered in Zuni for giving up their life to help sustain the Zuni tribe with their corn bodies.
