Lynxes

      

The lynx is thought of by the Zuni as a knower of secrets and an animal that possesses the ability to be clairvoyant.  In the wild, lynx are solitary, but occasionally small groups will hunt together, and can even climb trees and swim to catch their prey.  They are distinguished from other mid-sized wild cats by tufts of black hair on the tips of their ears.
