Kateri Sanchez
Kateri Sanchez is in her early thirties and is the daughter of the recently deceased Georgia Quandelacy - a maiden carver from the esteemed Quandelacy family. Kateri has perfected the lone maiden as well as multiples utilizing outstanding stones. Her tablita headdresses, Hopi butterfly and squash blossom hairdos', inlaid faces, fringed shawls, dot pendants. incised corn rows and her jet dragonflies and stars all add up to irresistible maiden figures you want to hold. Kateri has innovatively added owls, bears & bison to her larger carvings - the creatures protect the maidens. Kateri is now carving stand alone owls, wolves, bears and birds - with fantastic offering bundles.
