Karen Zunie
We created this page to honor the love that Challis had for the Zuni carvers. Challis loved Karen Zunie's carvings, particularly her foxes and other small animals. Karen was the student of Lance Cheama after she and Lance were married in the late 1980s. For the next decade or more, Karen was as prolific a carver as Lance. They had one child together. But the marriage did not last and the couple broke up in the early 2000s. Now her fetishes are becoming harder and harder to find. Challis would have been proud of our latest selections.
