Beavers
Esteemed for their dam building skills and prominence in southwest riparian (river-adjacent) landscape, beavers are natural symbols of home and family. They demonstrate the power of working together to accomplish goals.
Beavers, which are among the largest rodents, are a frequently carved fetish, and are often rendered in earth-colored stones such as Picasso marble, pipestone and jasper.
