Onyx Fox by Debra Gasper and Ray Tsethlikai
A small grayish cream, red sienna and muted peach colored onyx fox with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Debra Gasper and Ray Tsethlikai. In a Zuni traditional fox carving, the tail is always upright, we have been told by Debra. Note: the couple left a void on the fox's left side. The fox is often called “sly”- this quality may be attributed to the way this creature camouflages itself while silently observing the world around it. The fox reaches his goal with cunning, agility and clever tactics.
