A muted gray and brown Picasso marble figure carving created by the now deceased Rhoda Quam depicting four mothers with turquoise, melon, clam and pink mussel shell inlaid faces - all with jet inlaid features. There is one small corn maiden with a pipestone inlaid face and a large water jar is carved near the base, filled with turquoise chips representing water. Maidens symbolize abundance, fertility and feminine energy & the corn maiden is venerated in Zuni for giving up her life for the health of the community.
