A striking green turquoise and brown matrix carved double maiden featuring a corn maiden on one side and an olla/water maiden on the opposite - both with faces carved from the same stone and jet inlaid features. Created by Sandra Quandelacy, there are colorful inlaid stone/shell dots inlaid to the the corn rows on one side with a corn cob added to the water bowl along with turquoise/water chips on the opposite. The maiden symbolizes abundance, fertility and feminine energy & the corn maiden is venerated in Zuni for giving up her life for the health of the community.
