Leopard Marble Horse by Bryston Bowannie
A striking muted mauve, black, yellow ocher and cream colored leopard marble horse carved looking to its left side with turquoise inlaid eyes. This sturdy horse was delivered to Sunshine Studio in early August of 2023 by Bryston Bowannie and we are happy to have it to present to our trusted customers. The horse has been given a lovely bundle featuring three turquoise beads surrounded by three pen shell heishi. Horses were once an integral part of tribal cultures, honored in objects, stories, songs, and ceremonies - symbolizing freedom without restraint. Native Americans viewed the horse as a sanctified blessing that should be protected at all times. The Zuni also believe the horse has healing powers.
