An orange and cream streaked alabaster badger with turquoise inlaid eyes - carved like figure # 3 from plate II of Frank Hamilton Cushing's etchings in an 1880 Bureau of Ethnology report. -- representing the badger, a prey god fetish of the south. Carved by Lorandina Sheche, There's a hollowed out circle in the mid section - "to facilitate suspension" as well as one turquoise cab inlaid to the top of the badger's back. Badger medicine bolsters one's defenses; most especially self preservation skills by focusing / guiding the spirit to be more tenacious & grounded when working towards a goal.
