A gray and cream tinged antler frog carved simply by Robert Michael Weahkee with eyes placed on the very top of the head in the protruding eye sockets - they seem to be looking straight up at the viewer! Frogs are the result of water so are associated with the prominence of rain & are used to encourage the growth of crops. Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land. The frogs sings its song reminding us of our watery beginning.
