Picasso Marble Raccoon by Bremette Epaloose - Deceased - Zuni Fetish

$ 120.00

A gray, brown and black veined Picasso marble raccoon with incised & unpolished face 'mask' & tail stripe carved by Bremette Epaloose. Bremette was a carver who died way too young on July 10TH, 2015 in his late 40's; we believe. He was such a prolific carver - he would make about 10 carvings a day & he brought playfulness and skill to every carving he made. So we are happy when we find one of his carvings like this raccoon. The mischievous yet resourceful raccoon with its distinctive appearance stands proud as a symbol of secrecy, disguise, generosity, playfulness, illusion, courage, intelligence, adaptability, and inquisitiveness.
Artist: Bremette Epaloose - Deceased (signed)
