A new style medicine bear with jet inlaid eyes carved by Cheryl Beyuka. Cheryl has used a gold-lip mother-of-pearl outline of a bear and inlaid bits of turquoise, coral, clam shell & black marble to the other side creating a mosaic effect. The bear is the best mediator to the creator since it is the animal that most closely resembles human beings.We are told by one artist - the bear was created to be a guardian to man kind. The bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability & courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual & physical realm.
