Wild Horse Rock Badger by Lorandina Sheche

$ 90.00

A wild horse rock badger with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Lorandina in the traditional Zuni style as depicted by Frank Hamilton Cushing in an 1880 Bureau of Ethnology report. Cushing is an anthropologist that lived with the Zuni in 1880. Independent and tenacious; the badger is also a symbol of protection and defense, because this animal is always ready to defend its boundaries. The badger is thought by the Zuni to posses knowledge of herbs so is good to have around when one is dealing with illness.
