Petoskey Stone Mountain Lion by Michael Mahooty

$ 90.00

A Petoskey stone mountain lion with turquoise inlaid eyes, carved by Michael Mahooty with a pink mussel shell arrowhead mounted on top in the offering bundle. Petoskey stones are fossilized coral colony head fragments originally deposited in the Michigan area during the Devonian period. The mountain lion is endowed with unique powers of sight and smell. He is the older brother of the bear and is a symbol of strength and courage, but also of wisdom. The lion is a role model of leadership and controlled response, for the lion is the most powerful creature in the forest - there's no need for it to exert force.
