$ 345.00

A muted brown umber, gray, and cream ammonite maiden figure mounted to a black marble base carved by the now deceased Rhoda Quam depicting eleven women and one corn maiden. The fossilized spiral shell of the cephalopod is placed near the apple coral, turquoise and spiny oyster inlaid faces found near the top of the carving on one side. All in all, there are three apple coral inlaid faces, four turquoise, two picture jasper, one clam, one abalone and one deep purple spiny oyster inlaid face. Ammonites, with their spiral shape, are symbols of change and positive motion.
