Sugilite Birds, Hawk with Baby Chick. by Hiram Peynetsa
A very dark purple sugilite hawk carved by Hiram Peynetsa with turquoise inlaid eyes. You can only see hints of dark purple on the top of the hawk's head and its left wing. There is a smaller bird standing by the larger hawk that we are calling a chickadee - with only a concave carved eye socket. Hiram has left a rounded base made from the same stone since the larger hawk is leaning forward. The hawk reminds us of self awareness and living in the present moment.
Artist: Hiram Peynetsa (signed)
