A pipestone horse with turquoise inlaid eyes and heart line. Carved by Russell Shack, there is an incised hand print on the horses front left shoulder and 3 turquoise dots inlaid on the rump with incised, unpolished rings circling them. A horse to tribesmen & women used to signify mobility, stamina, strength and power. Horses were so revered by some tribes that the horse also came to represent loyalty, love and devotion. The Zuni believe that the horse has healing powers.
