Picasso Marble Lizard With Horned Toad by Alvin Haloo

$ 75.00

A detailed cream and gray colored Picasso marble horned toad and lizard - carved from one stone by Alvin Haloo with both having turquoise inlaid eyes and well defined ridges and horns on the toad and skin on the lizard composed of a series of cross hatch cuts. Horned toads are a type of lizard, belonging to the Phrynosoma genus so it might not be so unlikely for the pair to form an alliance. Horned toads and lizards are both found in western North America, and they can share habitats. The horned toad is often said to represent self-reliance and longevity. It can protect its owner from harm and symbolizes ancestral bounty. Lizards may carry dreaming and foresight powers, and hold within themselves ancient secrets.
